Coffee Lounges for highly frequented Locations
In 2000, Anarchitekton together with a restaurateur and an economist were invited to accompany a comprehensive project development with the objective of launching mobile as well as permanently installed coffee lounges for highly frequented locations in Switzerland, especially train stations. The basic idea of CoffeePoints was to supply the fluctuating stream of passers-by with premium-quality coffee at the public transport junctions over the course of the day with a high degree of mobility and flexibility. Especially the mobile coffee lounge was intended to practically follow the hourly changing flux of passers-by and cater to them with “take out” offers. The permanently installed coffee lounges were developed for locations that possess a more or less constant flux of passers-by during the whole day.
